CNA to LVN 54-hour Theory Pharmacology Course



In addition to the required paid bedside nursing experience, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) seeking eligibility to challenge the NCLEX-PN exam in the State of California must complete a pharmacology course of at least 54 theory hours that covers the following content:

D&D's Pharmacology course is fully compliant to California Code of Regulations Division 25 Article 4. Licenses ยง 2516(b)(2).

Description:

This course is designed to provide in-depth overview of pharmacology concepts and practice application for entry-level nurses. Contents include principles of medication preparation and administration, dosage calculation, and commonly used medications and their actions, delivered through an online course.


OPEN ENROLLMENT:

Start anytime but must be completed within 3 months from registration.

Online Course includes self-study modules, videos, animations, audio glossary, drug handbook, and practice questions for the NCLEX.

Graded exams are done online. A grade of at least 75% will earn you 54 hours credit for Pharmacology which you can use to satisfy the Pharmacology course requirement under the Equivalency Method 3 of the CA Board of Vocational Nursing.
